Three years ago the last developer of Kodachrome slide film shut down the processing equipment. I knew that there was a last roll project featuring a photographer named Steve McCurry. He took one roll of 36 images and shot what would be the last ever Kodachrome. I thought of it when I found a roll of Kodachrome while getting Christmas decorations out this year and went looking for the images.
Here they are. Worth looking at, maybe not as the best ever Kodachrome images ever taken, but as a moment in history and what one photographer choose to open his shutter on when each image counted.
