  1. I remember “taking” our neighborhood like it was a German town. The “big kid” was the Lt. We followed orders. We moved from cover laying down fire for the next kid advancing. Ten year olds had some idea of infantry tactics in the late-60s.

  2. Oh, I remember those… and when we broke the plastic ones, we got a friend’s data to get us real helmet liners from the Arsenal (had to pad those suckers with handkerchiefs to keep em from falling over our eyes)!
