In The Air

I was going to call this taking a breakfall, but if what we are doing in Libya is a “kinetic military action”, I guess you could call this a “kinetic planetary impact”.

How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg? Four. Calling a tail a leg doesn’t make it a leg.

  1. Sometimes, particularly if the fall is very kinetic. Kiai is most often used when meeting an attack, as part of the initial unbalancing of the attacker.

    One of our jokes, playing off of the philosophy behind Aikido, says: Aikido is the art of blending with the mat. Because we do it so poorly, we do it over and over for years.
