Beach Camping

Another night under canvas. We got in late afternoon, set up camp and had homemade crab cakes and corn on the cob for dinner. By the time we were done, it was dark and I washed dishes by lantern light.

I woke up early and we went for a walk to see the beach. Water temps in the low 80s, a light breeze. The sky is clearing. It looks like this.

Don’t grow up too quickly, lest you forget how much you love the beach.

  1. Hmm, I'll guess either Hammock Beach State Park or maybe Cape Lookout National Seashore. I'm betting on Hammock Beach.

  2. Gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous. But even in Sacramento, now in August, it's only been in the high 80s and the low 90s whilst the rest of the nation is sweltering.

And at my cabin at the 4,000-foot elevation in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, it's been in the 70s during the day and 50 at night.

  3. Bob,

Look at the pictures in the next post and guess again. I have camped at Hammock's Beach, and she is wearing an old hat I bought her there, it is her favorite beach hat.
